Skullcandy today unveiled Rail True and Smokin’ Buds wireless earbuds and the successor to its popular Crusher headphone dubbed ‘Crusher 2 ANC’. Here’s a quick look at the recently launched products in India.
Smokin’ Buds wireless earbuds
The Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds truly wireless earbuds are made from 50 per cent recycled plastic and come with the company’s signature Supreme Sound. These earbuds can last up to 8 hours on a single charge with the case offering 12 hours of additional music playback. It also supports rapid charge, meaning you can charge the TWS for 10 minutes to get 120 minutes of playtime.
The IPX4 water-resistant earbuds also come with touch controls and configurable equalizer support. However, it misses out on active noise cancellation. Skullcandy Smokin’ Buds can be purchased for Rs 2,799.
Rail True wireless earbuds
Skullcandy Rail True wireless earbuds are a premium product featuring the company’s Skull-IQ Smart Feature technology that offers hands-free voice control. It offers up to 42 hours of music playback and is IP55 sweat, water and dust resistant.
Tuned by Mimi, the earbuds support multipoint pairing and come with ‘Tile Finding technology’, a feature that helps find lost earbuds. Similar to the Smokin’ Buds, you get custom EQ modes and touch controls. However, the company has not specified if the earbuds get ANC support. They are priced at Rs 7,699.
Crusher 2 ANC headphone
The successor to Skullcandy’s iconic Crusher, the Crusher 2 ANC comes with an ‘Adjustable Sensory Bass’ and active noise cancellation. The over-the-ear headphones weigh 312 grams and offer up to 60 hours of music playback with ANC off. As expected from a premium headphone, it supports multipoint pairing and comes with adjustable equalizer modes.
It also comes with ‘Tile Finding technology’ that helps users find the headphones if they lose them somewhere and an adjustable stay-aware mode, which is similar to the ambient mode on Sony products.. Skullcandy Crusher 2 ANC costs Rs 19,999.
